Sunday was windy like a hurricane and frigid as hell, too, as a cold front swept over New Haven. This was the day of lab tours. And we marched, like soldiers to a war, heads bowed to the wind, determinedly, dutifully, to Yales Physics and Chemistry laboratories on the infamous Science Hill. It felt like more walking outside than Id done in 3 years. Dont ever let anyone tell you that Science Hill isnt far. Back when I was applying to colleges Yale buttered me up and insisted Science Hill isnt that far its totally on campus, and I believed them. Well, we walked for half an hour each way.
